Speakers

Kathie Raymond — Manager, FDA Compliance, Livingston International; Matt Rivard — Sr. Associate, Trade & Customs, KPMG LLP; and Anne Schultz — Import Analyst, 3M

Kathie Raymond
As Manager, FDA Compliance, Kathie Raymond is responsible for ensuring Livingston’s clients are compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.

Kathie has fifteen years of experience in FDA compliance and has particular expertise in FDA regulations that fall under 21CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), the Food Safety Modernization Act, the Bioterrorism Act and FDA requirements under ACE (Automated Commercial Environment).

In her position within Livingston, Kathie is the manager of the FDA Compliance team assisting both internal and external clients with FDA entry problem resolution, research, training, and education. As a result of Kathie’s diligence and expertise, Livingston is recognized by the FDA as a superior filer and has received 96% on all filer audits for 2015/2016.

Kathie has regularly presented webinars through Livingston’s webinar program on the Food Safety Modernization Act (2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015) and FDA requirements under ACE (2015 and 2016). Outside of Livingston, she presented a webinar for Food Seminars International on Easing the Pain Points for Food Importers (4/15/2015). In addition, in 2014 Kathie had her article “The FSMA Foreign Supplier Verification Program: What US Importers Need To Know” published in the Food Safety Magazine

Matt Rivard
Matt Rivard is a Senior Associate in KPMG LLP’s Trade & Customs practice (T&C) based in Minneapolis, and is the chair of the MGTA Education Committee. Matt is a licensed customs broker, and has six years of customs and supply chain experience, both as a member of KPMG’s T&C practice, and working in customs compliance in-house at an importer. As a member of KPMG’s T&C practice, Matt helps multinational companies achieve a global edge by helping them implement import and export operations that keep costs down, maintain strategic and competitive advantages, and help ensure compliance with local regulations associated with import-export operations.

Anne Schultz
Anne Schultz is a Trade Compliance Analyst for 3M Company based in St. Paul, MN.  Anne is a Licensed Customs Broker with 11 years of experience in Customs Compliance and International Ocean Transportation.  Her responsibilities include managing 3M’s Customs Broker relationships, valuation of manufacturing assists, providing accurate and complete PGA data to brokers, and post-entry audit.  In previous roles, Anne also managed the day-to-day processes of a large duty savings initiative for a major retailer, and provided operational support for ocean transportation shipments.

Nancy Luttrell
Having been a member of the F. H. Kaysing Company (federally licensed US Customs Broker) team since 1998, Nancy Luttrell is a key contributor in formulating strategic goals within the FHK organization. She is a part of the group sustaining clients through information technology and the flow of information supporting import compliance measures. Nancy is also a member of the Trade Support Network, and has been coordinating Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Information training in the Midwest since 2006.
