What will you learn? This half-day seminar will review the various methods for importers to pay and exporters to get paid. Specifically, we will discuss topics such as the challenges and benefits of Open Account, the useful and underutilized Documentary Collections, the financing benefits and risk protection of the Letter of Credit, and the limitations of Cash in Advance.
Who should attend?
Executives, managers, sales managers, marketing representatives, operations, purchasing personnel, and anyone involved in the strategic decision to expand internationally as well as the day-to-day management of international transactions from purchase orders to payment.

About the Speakers
David Knack joined U.S. Bank in 1992 and currently serves as the Vice President / Regional Manager of U.S. Bank’s Global Trade Services Group. Dave manages the Trade Services Midwest region, providing direction and assistance to sales staff. Additionally, Dave provides advisory services to existing clients and prospects on conducting international business. Prior to Dave’s current position, he served as an Overseas Banking Officer for U.S. Bank’s Foreign Correspondent Banking Unit and managed the Asian Country desk. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Dave held various sales, credit and management positions at ITT Financial.
Mark F. Wilson is currently a Senior International Trade Specialist and Empowered Official for a local Aerospace company. He is a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer with nine years of export licensing experience in the aerospace and high technology industry. He is a graduate of St. Paul College with a degree in world trade. Mark has more than 15 years of working in international trade and is experienced in wide variety of international trade functions, techniques, and tools, such as international payment, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
