Paul Hansen — Trade Commissioner, Mission: Minneapolis, MN; Sectors: Life Sciences, Sustainable Technologies

Paul is in his 10th year as Trade Commissioner for Life Sciences and CleanTechnologies, as part of Global Affairs Canada at the Consulate General of Canada in Minneapolis, MN.

In this role he helps to make connections of value between companies and organizations in the Upper Midwest, and Canadian clients focussed on these two sectors.

Previous experience includes leadership roles in several Minnesota based life science SME’s in the medical device sector and one in agribusiness.  Specific interests include technology commercialization, innovation, and international business development.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa; an MBA in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN; and is a Fellow in Entrepreneurship Education, Babson College, Boston, MA.
